What Customers Say About Sony MDR-RF925RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone:

Product is very good. The sound quality is outstanding, but occasionally there is light static. I would buy this product again. Great product for the price.

The sound is very good. He is hard of hearing; it allows him to hear clearly without blasting out the neighbors or others watching with him. If I'm watching a show I can take the trash out to the curb without missing a word.

The best feature is that it is RF versus infrared. The only downside is an occasional "pop" or very brief drop out - not enough to detract from the many other benefits. It is great if you have an open concept living area where the living room is constantly doing battle with noise from the kitchen. The battery life is also good.

I can go upstairs or in the basement too without loss of quality. IR headphones require "line of sight". RF headphones can go anywhere, even into other rooms.

I bought another set for my father. I highly recommend it.

The operative word here is "think" because I couldn't tell. 1) Nearby Computers or perhaps other electronics make it click, buzz, etc2) It's supposed to automatically activate when there's audio signal. If I put it on when a video was playing that certainly had sound, but not continuously, it wouldn't active so I would have to start some music just to "wake it up"3) Though I hadn't used it all that much, I think it had some kind of charge issue. It simply wouldn't work and then I would put it on its charger/base and then maybe later it wouldn't work. There's no feedback on the headphone itself to give a diagnostic.I got so fed up with it I threw it away.

If you play video games these headphones really immerse you in the game. Especially if you got your sony headphones from Discount Jungle, it was a great deal, especially compared to the other wireless headphones out there. The Sony headphones have a little bit of static here and there when you get up and move around, but otherwise the sound is great, definitely better than listening to just a standard TV. The battery charging is great and easy to use and the auto on/off feature is also a very nice touch, though I guess you can't fall asleep with the TV on without draining the battery. But for the price you can get this headset at today it's a steal and one of the best values.

I have used them almost daily for the last year, often for 2 or 3 hours and more if I am home. I forgot to tape it right back up, and immediately it fell off. It was needing charging more frequently at first, so I would put it back in its cradle more often if I forgot and left it by the bed or on a desk. I felt this was too much for a couple of AA rechargeable batteries that would work with the headphone's cradle where it is recharged. and still works, except the battery does not last forever.

At the same time, I think a splitter has gone bad in my wiring to the computer, and I blamed it on the headphones when the stereo seemed to go out, leaving me with sound in only one earphone. When I typed in the model # it showed me a different set of headphones. The sony battery is exposed, but it is in there firmly. I don't know what I would do without them, but bought another pair which I have not opened when the battery seemed not to be holding the charge like it had. It is that silver, round part on the headphone. Also, they tell you to use 2 regular AA batteries and replace them when they expire, which for me would be about twice a week.

I tried to get one through Sony's e-support center. I had to untape it. I had to pad the headphones with 1/2" foam under the band. I originally bought this product for $90 and just found a replacement for $30, refurbished. I don't have a big head, but these seem to be for someone with a head larger than human, or with thick stocking cap on.These may have one of the first models to come out. It looks just like the MDR-925RK pictured here. Also, the cover for the battery kept falling off. I only really need one. The set works the same without it on.

A friend found it a week later out by my car. The battery they supply is actually 2 AA batteries with plastic holding them together. Also, the cradle recharging is extremely convenient. I could not find the "special battery" replacement on the internet, and Radio Shack told me a replacement would cost $35. They drooped and hung on my ears because of their too-big fit.

The tape kept it closed for a year and a half, until the set started losing its charge faster. It blots it out and I can play a large variety of things from radio stations with archives, or play relaxation white noise type sounds (rain with thunder masks noise well). I now have two of these headsets. I had to buy a whole new refurbished product which cost $40.

It has a very weak clip and won't stay on dependably. Its been dropped, tossed around, etc. I have used my first one daily as I live in an apartment with lots of noise from people on the nearby walkway. With the battery compartment taped closed, it has been very, very rugged. This one has been through a lot of wear and tear. There is a place for the headphones to go when not in use and they go on automatically when you put them on. I put some sticky stuff under the cradle and stuck it to my computer top. I taped down a part that moves on the headphone, but it did not need to move seeing the phones were so large.

I was thankful to discover them at Radio Shack, originally, as the only wireless headphones they carried. It is maddening in an age when things are supposed to be reused, not sent to landfill. My model is MDR-925R. I was able to tape it on with masking tape. I saved the instructions and they had no parts or battery replacement help. They turn off when you take them off.
